Everybody, meet DL (he’s the guy in black).

He looks just like any other normal 16 year old Asian sophomore boy doesn’t he? Being interested in photography, collecting shoes- and let me add that he has a sense of style that’s out of this world. Now, sit tight, and let me tell you his story:

It’s been about 3 years now since he’s started liking this girl. Let’s say this girl’s name is UH. When she broke up with her first boyfriend, he was the one to comfort and help her through the rough patch, but soon, he started having feelings for her. A couple of months passed, and even though he spilled his heart out for her, she didn’t like him back and had a new boyfriend. That new boyfriend was DL’s best friend. I know, sad right? It gets worse. While she was happily dating his bestfriend, he was completed devasted that whole time. He cried himself to sleep, cut himself, and completely changed from a super happy kid that everyone knew and loved to a quiet, isolated teen. Over time, they gradually DL and UH drifted apart and didn’t speak to each other the whole summer of 2010. Sooner or later, UH broke up with her current boyfriend, and DL started thinking about himself and thought it would’ve been better for him if he just ignored her. Summer passed, school started, and DL started seeing her again in the halls of high school. After that, UH and DL started talking again, and once again, he ended up attached to her. He did everything he could to hangout with her, and make her happy. And then…. it happened again. She fell for someone, and DL was left alone again. Guess who it was this time? No surprise- it was one of DL’s best friends. DL was completely heartbroken and life was hell all over again for him. Only this time, it was worse. He was completely broken and in a deeper rut than last time, and started contemplating suicide. UH has now been dating her new boyfriend for more than a year now and DL has to sit through it and watch. Few days ago, I asked him why he doesn’t just move on and find someone new. His response? “It’s easier said than done. Plus, I’ve waited so long. And how do you know she won’t wake up one day and like me? If I can wait this long, I can wait forever.

I remember when this happened to me, so fucking hard to move on.

Aw man I can relate to this. Basically my solution was staying away from the person for a long period of time and just deleting them from my life. If anything why did the best friends even date her when they “probably knew” that he had feelings for her? Honestly that just sucks and I can feel his pain. I just hope he can move on and find someone better than her. Who could treat him better and give him what he deserves. 

It’s going to take a patience, struggling, and pain to get over that girl. The worst part of liking someone is when they don’t like you back and you’ve waited so long for them it’s hard to let go.
